วันก่อนที่ว่าด้วยเรื่องแลกไมล์ Royal First การบินไทย ตอนปิดท้ายก็พูดติดตลกๆ ว่า เออ อุตสาห์แลกไมล์ไปแล้วอย่าเพิ่งตายก่อนจะได้ขึ้นเครื่องนะ

พอหลังจากที่พิมพ์บล็อกนั้นไป ก็มานั่งนึกๆ ดูว่า เออ เรานี่บ้าสะสมแต้มสะสมไมล์อะไรมาเยอะแยะขนาดนี้ ถ้าเกิดตายไปก่อนได้ใช้นี่เสียดายแย่เลย

ก็เลยมานั่งนึกๆ ต่อว่า เออ นั่นสิ ตายแล้ว(ไมล์)ไปไหน?

ด้วยความสงสัย ก็เลยนั่งไล่ๆ หาข้อมูลโดยถามจากเจ้าหน้าที่บ้าง หรือไล่หาอ่านในเงื่อนไขและข้อตกลงของโปรแกรมสะสมคะแนน/ไมล์บ้าง ว่าตกลงถ้าเรา (เจ้าของบัญชีสะสมคะแนน/ไมล์) ตายไปเนี่ย มันจะเกิดอะไรขึ้นบ้าง

However, Emirates Skywards may, at its sole discretion, reinstate Miles in favour of the heirs of the deceased Member upon the application of his or her personal representative, provided that the deceased Member’s account holds a minimum balance of 20,000 Miles at the time of the Member’s death.

8.3 Membership will terminate automatically on the death of a Member. Qantas Points earned but not yet redeemed or transferred prior to the death of the Member will be cancelled. Qantas Loyalty will close the Member’s account on notification of the Member’s death. Qantas Loyalty will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered by any person as a result of such cancellation.

We really hope you don’t die anytime soon, Nutch. However, we know this is important to be aware of and if something happens, Starwood may allow unredeemed Starpoints to be transferred to a family member or a friend who is an active SPG Member. —@spgassist

อันนี้คือเท่าที่ขยันจะหามาเฉพาะโปรแกรมที่ตัวเองเกี่ยวพันอยู่ โปรแกรมอื่นๆ ใครอยากรู้ก็อาจจะต้องลองไปหาข้อมูลกันดู ส่วนใหญ่มักจะมีบอกชัดๆ ในพวกข้อกำหนด บางอันก็เขียนตรงๆ บางอันก็ไม่ตรง (อย่างการบินไทยไม่มีบอกตรงๆ เรื่องตาย แต่บอกแค่ว่ายังไงก็โอนไม่ได้นะไม่ว่าด้วยเหตุใด)

ใครมีแต้มมีไมล์อะไรเก็บไว้เยอะๆ ก็วางแผนการตายกันดีๆ ระวังไม่ได้ใช้นะจ๊ะ
